The Arrius celebrates 50,000 hours of flight
with Helicap
Paris Air Show, 14 June 2003
Turbomeca and Helicap, a French company
specializing in airmedical transport, have celebrated 50,000 flight
hours with the Arrius engine.
Helicap now owns a fleet of 14 EC 135 helicopters.
The Arrius 2B2, the latest version of the engine, powers the two
EC 135 T2 helicopters of the fleet deployed at the start of the
year with the Emergency Medical Services of Toulouse and Ile-de-France,
in Creteil.
The aim for Helicap is to eventually upgrade its
fleet around the Turbomeca Arrius 2B2 engine.
The Arrius family is backed by the extensive experience
acquired by more than 1,100 engines in service and over a million
flight hours clocked, of which 40,000 with the EC 135.
