Turbomeca Renews and Expands Relationship
with ACRO
Vancouver facility receives same level of provisioning as
factory-owned centers
Paris Air Show, 14 June 2003
Turbomeca has significantly expanded the scope of
its relationship with Vancouver-based ACRO Aerospace, a long-time
overhaul and repair center for Turbomeca Arriel 1 engines.
The result will be more extensive logistics support for ACRO
and therefore its many customers throughout North and Central
America.
Turbomeca has signed a new contract with ACRO to serve as
an approved overhaul facility for the Arriel 1 engine which
extends through March 2005 with the option of a further one-year
term. ACRO has served as an approved overhaul facility since
1991. ACRO also serves as TurboSupport Center, providing rapid
response field technicians to Arriel 2 and Arrius 2F operators
requiring service.
Under the new agreement, ACRO receives the same level and
method of provisioning support as Turbomeca’s two factory-owned
overhaul and repair centers in North America. This new arrangement
calls for ACRO to be supplied directly from Turbomeca’s
new Paris-based logistics hub, which was established recently
to provide faster spare parts response than was possible from
Turbomeca’s south of France factory locations.
“This is a new step for us in enhancing support to
North American operators,” noted Turbomeca Vice President
of Operator Support Didier Desnoyer. “ACRO has served
our operators well for many years and proved a committed partner
in our efforts to improve service. This new agreement strengthens
that strategic partnership.”
